Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a Nigerian author, transformed the approach of race with her National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction winner, Americanah, published in 2013. The novel tells the story of a determined Nigerian woman named Ifemelu who emigrates to America, and thus acknowledges what it is to be black in a predominantly white country. After a while, she begins to write a sharp blog named Raceteenth Or Various Observations About American Blacks
